SPY Four Potential Sell Signals Four Potential Sell Signals RSI < 50 LEVEL_B_MINUS (a move down to the 80 day MA) STEP TREND DOWN MACD Histogram < 0 SPY is Weakening and the Down Trend Still in Intact The SPY is in downtrend defined by lower highs followed by lower lows. The recent rally halted at the trend line. I am closely watching the 21 RSI. If it falls below the red line then I consider this a sell signal. MACD Hist Ticking Down The SPY is still at LEVEL_C (above the 80 day MA) and getting very close to LEVEL_B_MINUS (on the 80 day MA). I consider LEVEL_B_MINUS to be a sell signal. The MACD histogram is ticking down. The histogram turns red when it moves below zero. That would also be a sell signal. The blue lines are what a call the Step Trend indicator. It is based on 14 x 21 day high and lows. It is currently very close to a 21 Day low.
